Defamation case against former CJI Gogoi in Assam
Guwahati. Social activist and NGO functionary has filed a defamation case against former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi. It has claimed that some objectionable things have been said in his autobiography in the context of the National Register of Citizens (NRC). Petitioner Abhijit Sharma has filed a Rs 1 crore defamation suit against Gogoi in the Kamrup (Metro) District and Civil Judge's Court in Guwahati.
